Palisade Mermaid
The Palisade mermaid rests beneath the branches of a peach tree, right along the banks of the Colorado River. She sits in the heart of peach country, where the fruit is famed for its juicy sweetness—thanks to the perfect pairing of hot summer days and cool desert nights. Her shimmering tail belongs to a brook trout, a fish native to the rivers and streams of Colorado’s western slope. She wears a bra of blue Rocky Mountain columbines, the state flower, delicate and proud. Behind her, Mount Garfield rises in the distance—an iconic silhouette and ever-present backdrop in the landscape of Palisade.This limited-edition giclée print features The Palisade Mermaid, part of my Colorado-inspired mermaid series.
